Blobfish

Voted the “World’s Ugliest Animal” the Blobfish is a deep sea creature that lives off the coast of Australia and New Zealand. They live 2,000 to 3,000 feet below the waves where the pressure is 120 times higher than at the surface.  They rarely move unless food is nearby and eat sea urchins, mollusks, crabs and lobsters and other slow moving ocean bottom feeders. Rarely seen, but now Psychrolutes microporos is a social media star and favorite plushie :)
